As you may be aware, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on Friday 25th May 2018, which will harmonise existing data protection legislation within the European Union and UK. This means websites like Embrace Music Production & Tuition have new obligations around the storing and processing of the personal data of our visitors.

At Embrace Music Production & Tuition, we have always taken our data protection responsibilities very seriously and we will continue to do so. We have implemented measures to ensure we are compliant with GDPR and your data will be treated with the highest standards, as laid out in the regulation.

This Privacy Policy relates to information about you (“personal data”) which is obtained by Embrace Music Production & Tuition and for which Embrace Music Production & Tuition is the Data Controller.

Embrace Music Production & Tuition's Purpose

Embrace Music Production & Tuition's purpose is to provide flexible and affordable music production services - both in our client's own homes and from our studio in Durham.

We provide, among various other services:

  • A fully portable mobile recording studio and engineer for vocal and live instrument recording.

  • The bespoke production of simple and complex musical arrangements across all genres.

  • Residencies in client's own homes across the United Kingdom.

 

We take active steps to ensure our potential clients are aware of these services.

 

What personal data might Embrace Music Production & Tuition collect about you?

We may collect the following types of personal data: your name, email address, postal address, telephone or mobile number and other details of products and services you have purchased from us.

We do not collect your bank account details which pass through our payment processor, PayPal, a reputable global brand which is fully GDPR compliant and has the highest standards of Data Protection in place already.

 

Special Categories of Personal Data

We do not collect "special categories of personal data" about our clients (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data),

 

How does Embrace Music Production & Tuition use your personal data?

We may process your personal data for a number of reasons, and Embrace Music Production & Tuition will only use your personal data where it has an appropriate legal basis, such as: (1) where the processing is in our own legitimate interest; (2) it is in compliance with a legal obligation; (3) it is necessary to perform a contract between us and you; and/or (4) you have consented to our use of your personal data.

1) Legitimate interest:

Embrace Music Production & Tuition uses Wix.com as a service provider that operates outside of the EU and they too conform to the highest standards of Data Protection and are fully GDPR compliant. Embrace Music Production & Tuition will only contact you for marketing purposes, for example to keep you up to date with changes or improvements to our services.
